Clear and open communication is vital to a student’s growth and success. We believe that communication needs to take place on a daily basis. Parents, teachers, and students are always up-to-date with respect to the student’s progress through Mentor’s 4 branches of communication: the homework book, scheduled teacher phone calls, ongoing evaluation, and Edsby.
Teachers contact parents by phone each month to share updates on academic progress, social development, and achievements. These conversations ensure there are no surprises at report card time and strengthen the partnership between home and school.
Our school-supplied homework book provides an ongoing dialogue between teachers and parents. It includes daily homework entries, teacher initials, and parent signatures to keep everyone accountable and informed.
Mentor College sets high academic standards. Students are assessed through regular tests, quizzes, projects, and exams. Formal progress reports are issued three times a year, summarizing achievements already discussed during teacher-parent communications.
Edsby is our cloud-based learning management system that combines communication with class and student management features. It provides real-time updates, data analytics, and easy access for students, teachers, and parents.
Our commitment to clear and open communication ensures that parents are always informed, students feel supported, and teachers can work collaboratively with families to help every child succeed.
