Outside Credits

Students wishing to take Ontario Credit Courses outside Mentor College must refer to the following for courses acceptable to be listed on the Mentor College transcript. For places other than those listed below, a student must apply in writing to the Principals to have the course approved.

Summer School and Night School Credits:

Summer school credits and Night School Credits (full four week new courses, not two week upgrades) are accepted from any publicly funded Public or Catholic Ontario High School. Students must apply for the courses using the applicable school board application form which must be signed by Mr. Cowle, Mr. Hall or Mr. Whyte. Mentor College offers wide selection of July summer credits at the Main Campus. Contact Mr. Scott Cowle for details and offerings. Public and Catholic summer and night school forms can be obtained from school boards, or our guidance office. The prerequisite course with a minimum 60% pass must be completed before applying for any credit to be taken outside of Mentor College.

Online and Correspondence Courses:

One online course or correspondence course (other than math or science) is permitted to be taken by a Mentor College High School student during the four years of study.
