Students in the High School Division are active in choirs, ensembles and bands, and take part in performances, assemblies, and competitions all year long.
Every year in December, students have the opportunity to audition for the school musical. In addition to acting and singing parts, there are positions for backstage crew, pit band, extras, and more. Students in vocal groups from Grades 9 to 12 perform annually at the Festival Of The Arts, which is near the beginning of May in the O’Brien Hall at the Main Campus.
At the high school level, participation in a school band is part of the course credit and there are currently bands for Grade 9, Grade 10, senior band for Grades 11/ 12, jazz band, wind ensemble and pit band. All instrumental groups from Grades 5 to 12 perform at the Festival Of The Arts.
Ensembles allow students a chance to take part in a performing group while playing the instrument they are studying in their music classes.
Every few years, a tour band is formed for the purposes of playing at an international venue. In 2019, a band toured Costa Rica and past trips have taken the school to Italy, Spain, Austria, Ireland, Cuba, New Zealand, and England.
